The Rationale — Why ArqisSync Exists
ArqisSync was shaped by firsthand experience inside Australian architectural practice, where good BIM goes beyond producing drawings to coordinating models and managing building information. We saw lean teams needing more than extra drafting hands. They needed an experienced BIM partner who already understands their standards and workflows. So we operate as an extension of your team, strengthening model coordination and consistency, and scaling capacity without the overhead of permanent hires.

Architectural Foundations
Formal grounding in building design and construction through the Advanced Diploma of Building Design and Construction Management (Architectural), leading to lateral entry into the Bachelor of Architecture. Professional practice began at Detail 3 in 2015, delivering Revit documentation for major architectural clients.

Architectural Documentation
Joined Point Architects, Melbourne, producing architectural documentation aligned with Australian standards and practice workflows.
2017
Project Architect
Progressed to Project Architect at Point Architects, delivering across the full project lifecycle from design development through to construction documentation.
2021
Transition to BIM Technician
Moved into BIM-specific roles at Y2Architecture, then Hayball as Senior BIM Technician. Focused on model coordination, documentation integrity and the technical systems behind consistent multi-sector delivery.
2023
Independent BIM Consultant
Joshua began supporting as an independent BIM consultant, providing specialised BIM and documentation services to leading Australian architecture firms and design studios, including Grey Puksand, Kerstin Thompson Architects, Lyons, Carlisle Homes and Yellow Interior Design Studio, among others. This experience strengthened expertise in diverse project typologies, digital modelling, documentation standards and practice-specific delivery workflows.

Establishing the Delivery Studio
Launched ArqisSync as a qualified external BIM consultancy, with an offshore base studio. Scaled delivery capability through larger teams of trained specialists and built a dedicated BIM team, giving Australian practices consistent technical documentation and coordinated project workflows.
